Hi Stephanie
"I would like to let you know that after much consideration, I have
decided to take up the offer from the Unilever Future Leaders Program as
a Global Graduate Trainee in the Marketing Function. I am extremely
excited and looking forward to challenging myself.
More importantly, I would like to express my gratitude to you for all of
your kind help all these years. I really appreciate your career advice
and encouraging words as well as the numerous networking opportunities
that you have shared and pushed me for. All of these have helped me
shape my confidence and focus to effectively target the job function and
industry that I feel most passionate about. Furthermore, I am very proud
that we Bizaders have the privilege of a world-class Career Services

Hi Joan, Wai Yee and Claire
"After much deliberation, I've decided to take up the offer from BP. The
remuneration is attractive and the experience will provide a good
platform to launch my trading career in the future.
Thank you Claire for guiding me along the way for this whole recruitment
process. I would also like to thank Wai Yee for helping me secure a very
prestigious internship in JP Morgan Chase last summer, which opened a
lot of doors for me, and the people I've met will definitely aid me in
my career in the future.
Finally, I would like to thank Joan for not only helping me secure my
first internship with DBS Global Financial Markets, but also for
providing students with an excellent avenue for securing internships and
permanent jobs alike. As I am a double degree student in engineering as
well, I know students from other faculties do not have the luxury of
having such an avenue of locating internships and jobs, as well as
prepping themselves for the workplace once they graduate."

starting work when I graduate in May 2010."

Dear Joan
"I'm a BBA Year Three student and I would like to share with you that
I've accepted Procter and Gamble's permanent placement offer and will be
starting work in September 2010 as Assistant Brand Manager.
I would like to thank you and the CSO for the numerous opportunities
provided to allow us to gain exposure to various industries as it helped
me decide what I wanted to pursue and how I could go about it. Thank you
for organising the workshops which have allowed me to hone the necessary
skills required to make a good first impression- be it through the cover
letter, resume or interviews. The CSO is indeed a world-class platform
and BBA students are indeed very privileged to be able to tap on this."

Hi Joan and Wai Yee
I am delighted to inform you that I have received a full-time job offer
from Barclays Capital to join them in July 2009.
I will be joining their Sales team dealing chiefly in Fixed Income
products for hedge-fund and institutional clients.
I want to thnk you guys for all the career guidance provided right from
the day I stepped into NUS Business School. Without you guys I can bet
most of us would be a lot more clueless.
Thanks again and do let me know if I can help you guys with anything in
the future. It's the least I can do.

Good evening Wai Yee,
I would like to inform you that I have registered myself for the
Financial Markets Internship Program and have been successfully offered
an internship with Standard Chartered.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank yourself, Joan and the
rest of the CSO for guiding me all the way - from the very beginning in
CV critique to the one-on-one MAPP session with Joan, from the initial
screening process by Joan again to the linking up of banks in this
SFEMC-NUS program.
I will strive to perform my very best on this program, and the
internship that awaits me. Thank you once again.

Hi Joan
Time really flies, and two months have passed in the blink of an eye. My
internship at the Bank of America Global Markets Group ended yesterday,
and I would say that those were two very fruitful months spent in the
Bank. I learnt so so much in terms of practical knowledge that can’t be
taught in the classrooms.
I was rotated around the various desks in the trading room and got
exposure to a myriad of instruments like options, spot, non-deliverable
forwards, sales etc. The traders and staff were extremely helpful and
patient with the interns, and they were certainly very friendly. With a
family-like atmosphere and an exciting trading environment providing
plenty of priceless learning opportunities, my time there was truly
well-spent.
I would like to sincerely thank you and the MD at Bank of America for
creating this wonderful opportunity for me. The Global Markets Program
is really effective and I would be glad to offer any assistance for
future batches of Business students in this Program.

"This is to thank you for the wonderful efforts that you and your
team have put in to making available the various
internship/employment opportunities to us. I am glad to inform you
that I got my internship at ConocoPhillips. I would be working with
the Asia-Pacific Procurement team. The remuneration I must say has
been above expectations.
Keep up the good work and I hope the rest of the batch can benefit
from your initiatives as well.

Hello Joan and Stephanie
"Life is a sum of all your choices"
-Albert Carmus (A French Novelist who clinched the 1957 Nobel Prize
for Literature)-
His quote resounds deeply within me and after reflecting how I have
been blessed to reach this stage, I appreciate you both for granting
me the opportunity to make such choices.
Joan, I'm grateful for having introduced me to my very 1st Human
Resource internship and the advice you have given me along the way
even up till today, when I am now a graduate. These did open many
doors during my career search. Furthermore, these elevated my
confidence when I had to position myself during the various
interviews. Finally, I found the Senior Sharing sessions ingenious.
Not only did I find it beneficial for the juniors to be well aware
of the available choices, but for me being invited to share my
internship experiences, I felt these sessions hone my interviewing
skills and the thought-provoking questions raised by the juniors
made me carefully reflect on my career choice with Human Resource.
Stephanie, I enjoyed the opportunity working with you in revamping
my resume and receiving your guidance such as through the MAPP
results. Through your constant feedback and job recommendations,
these raised my self-awareness and reinforced my passion towards
Human Resource. I believe with a heightened self-awareness and a
greater passion, these translate into a greater discovery of the
abundant choices that I could pursue within the domain of Human
Resource.
Meanwhile, do take care and all the best in your endeavours!

and BIZ Career Services for helping me find this opportunity with
General Electric FMP. I was offered a place in this prestigious program
last Friday.
Looking back, I realize that each step of my job search and recruitment

extremely useful in deciding my true career interest. Thanks for helping
me with my resume and interview strategies. Also, the 1-day Assessment
Center Workshop is a great experience for me to get through the AC
round. I cannot describe here various other tips and resources that CSO
provide. Not to mention the motivation and myriad job openings that you
bring to us sometimes too nonchalant students.
Thank you and please keep up the good work. I wish you all the best.

I have to congratulate the Career Office
for doing such a great job in the past year. I was away on exchange in
Beijing the last semester and was not really up to date on what was
happening in the Business School for the past half a year. However, the
email blasts about the various programs that the Career Office was
organizing for students did pique my interest as they sounded really
relevant and interesting.
The most amazing thing when I returned was when I attended the
Internship Briefing on Wednesday in a packed LT16 and almost everyone
was in business attire. The enthusiasm and professionalism that you and
your colleagues have managed to bring out in the bizaders is really
something that I have not seen in my previous semesters here. I think
that the school is definitely moving in the right direction in this
aspect. So to you and your colleagues: keep up the good work!
